How to get there by motorhome
Kilchurn Castle sits at the north-east end of Loch Awe, around 2.5 miles west of Dalmally, just off the A85. Historic Environment Scotland notes that there is no vehicular access or parking at the castle itself, so plan your stop carefully and avoid blocking gates, tracks or passing places.
From Glasgow or central Scotland, take the A82 north towards Loch Lomond, continue through Crianlarich and Tyndrum, then follow the A85 west towards Dalmally and Loch Awe.
From Oban, take the A85 east towards Dalmally. This makes Kilchurn Castle a perfect stop when touring between Oban, Loch Awe and Glencoe.
