How to get there by motorhome
Royal Deeside is easy to explore by following the A93 through towns and villages such as Banchory, Ballater and Braemar. Ballater sits on the A93 between Aberdeen and Braemar, around 40 miles west of Aberdeen and 17 miles east of Braemar.
From Aberdeen, follow the A93 west through Banchory, Aboyne and Ballater.
From Perth or central Scotland, take the A93 north through Blairgowrie and Glenshee towards Braemar, then continue east through Royal Deeside.
This is a great touring route, with plenty of scenic stops, villages, walks and picnic spots along the way.
